Reports: Jasprit Bumrah is bowling seven overs in the nets & fitness will be assessed after some practice games.

Jasprit Bumrah absence was sorely felt by Indian fans during the World Test Championship (WTC) final, where India suffered a disappointing loss to Australia by a margin of 209 runs. Indian team missed Bumrah on several occasions, he had last represented India in September 2022 before being sidelined due to a back injury that required surgery in March.

Ace fast bowler is currently undergoing rigorous training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, where he is working hard to regain his fitness. With approximately 100 days remaining for the upcoming ODI World Cup,reports indicate that Bumrah has already begun bowling in the nets and is expected to participate in practice matches at the NCA next month.

According to emerging reports, Bumrah is gradually increasing his workload during net sessions, bowling seven overs and showing signs of recuperation. However, his overall fitness will be assessed after he gains further match practice in the upcoming practice games at the NCA next month.
