Despite this, MI replaced him with Hardik Pandya, who they acquired from Gujarat Titans. Reports suggest Pandya’s return was contingent on his captaincy appointment. Mumbai Indians officially announced this change, prompting CSK to congratulate Rohit on his IPL leadership journey via Instagram.
