“Stop dreaming” – Harbhajan Singh makes fun of Pakistan’s X user for IPL post
Harbhajan Singh took to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, March 15, to humorously respond to a Pakistani user’s post regarding the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The post showcased Pakistan’s cricket stars – Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan – imagined in the jerseys of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Mumbai Indians (MI), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) respectively, alongside Indian icons Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and MS Dhoni in their respective franchise attire.
User wrote “Dream for many Indian and Pakistani cricket fans.”
Harbhajan Singh in reply worte “No indian hv such dreams .. you guys plz stop dreaming wake up now.”
This juxtaposition prompted a playful reaction from Singh, highlighting the absence of Pakistani players in the IPL since the inaugural season in 2008, owing to the strained relations between India and Pakistan.
Subsequently, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) initiated the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2016, providing a platform for domestic and international cricketers. As the knockout matches of the ongoing T20 tournament unfold, cricket enthusiasts eagerly await the thrilling encounters.
