Stuart Board announces retirement, 5th Ashes Test is his last Test.

Veteran England fast bowler Stuart Broad has made a significant announcement, stating that the 5th Ashes Test will be his final game of cricket, marking the end of an illustrious career. Throughout his remarkable journey, Broad achieved the remarkable feat of becoming only the second fast bowler and the fourth bowler overall to claim over 600 wickets in Test cricket. His remarkable achievements have secured him the position of the second-highest Test wicket-taker of all time for England, trailing only his long-time teammate and pace partner, James Anderson. With his retirement, cricket bids farewell to one of its most prolific bowlers, and Broad leaves behind an incredible legacy in the sport.

Broad said “Tomorrow or Monday will be my last game of cricket,” said Broad on Sky Sports Cricket after the third day’s play at the Oval on Saturday. “It has been a wonderful ride. A huge privilege to wear the Nottinghamshire and the England batch as much as I have. I am loving cricket as much as I ever had, it has been such a wonderful series to be a part of and I have always wanted to finish on the top. This series feels like one of the most enjoyable entertainment I’ve been a part of.”
