‘The real match winner’: Sanjay Manjrekar appreciate Kuldeep Yadav after win in the 3rd T20I against West Indies.

Following two initial setbacks in the T20I series against the West Indies, India staged a remarkable turnaround in the third match at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on August 8th. Hardik Pandya and his team made a triumphant return, securing a seven-wicket victory over the hosts. This success owed much to Kuldeep Yadav’s exceptional bowling performance and Suryakumar Yadav’s formidable batting display.

Although India lost the toss and were asked to bowl first, Kuldeep Yadav emerged as a standout performer, clinching a three-wicket haul. His efforts were instrumental in limiting the West Indies to a total of 158/5. The 28-year-old spinner delivered a splendid four-over spell, concluding with impressive figures of 3/28. On the batting front, Suryakumar Yadav, the top-ranked T20I batsman, led India’s charge in the chase, amassing a brilliant 83 runs from 44 balls.

While Suryakumar Yadav garnered widespread acclaim for his pivotal role in the victory, the legendary Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar directed attention to Kuldeep’s contributions. According to him, the seasoned spinner emerged as the true match-winner in the encounter.

Sanjay Manjrekar tweeted “Surya was brilliant again but Kuldeep the real match winner for me. Restricting WI to 159 by taking 3 top order wickets including that of Pooran. Well done Kuldeep!”
