“They may get blown away and absolutely destroyed” – Michael Vaughan warns to England’s Bazball approach for Tests in India.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has issued a stark warning regarding England’s Bazball tactic potentially faltering during their upcoming tour to India. The team, led by skipper Ben Stokes and coached by Brendon McCullum, has experienced success with the Bazball style, securing victories in their last six Tests and triumphing in 13 of their previous 18 red-ball games.

However, Vaughan expressed concerns about the effectiveness of Bazball, citing difficulties faced against Australian spinner Nathan Lyon in the recent Ashes series at home, where England initially trailed 0-2 but managed to level the series 2-2. Vaughan, speaking to Fox Sports, questioned the viability of Bazball against three skilled Indian spinners on turning wickets.

Vaughan said “If you add in Ashwin, Jadeja and Axar Patel on spinning wickets in India, they may get blown away, they may get absolutely destroyed. They will go out and play exactly the same way, we’ve already spoken about the impact they are going to try and achieve in India with the way they play,It will be great watching, but you will have to fancy three quality spinners might do a job on England when one quality spinner in Nathan Lyon did the job in English conditions. It’s going to be very tough for them to win in India.”
