“Tried for 15 years to stop that happening”: Aaron Finch over getting out many times by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Senior Indian fast bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, has established himself as a prominent figure in the realm of white-ball cricket. Nevertheless, his involvement in Test cricket has been limited due to persistent injury concerns. Recently, Aaron Finch, the former captain of the Australian white-ball team, shared an intriguing insight into how Bhuvneshwar’s performances affected him during their respective playing careers.
Notably, four of these dismissals took place in one-day internationals (ODIs), and what adds to the astonishment is that all four of these instances occurred consecutively during a series in 2019.
On ‘X’ a fan asked Finch “Big fan here, why did bhuvi troubled you a bit.. Could you elaborate? Is it your feet coming across?”
Finch sportingly replied “Yep!! Tried for 15 years to stop that happening.”
Finch, who officially retired from international cricket earlier in 2023, had already declared his retirement from ODI cricket in 2022. Despite this, he continued to lead the Australian side in the ICC T20 World Cup held in their home country in the preceding year.
