Virat was also responsible for not selecting Rayudu’s in 2019 World Cup squad: MSK Prasad ex chief selector.

Ambati Rayudu, the former Indian cricketer, and MSK Prasad, the ex-chief selector, have made headlines in recent days following Rayudu’s revelations about his exclusion from the 2019 World Cup squad and his accusations against the selectors for intentionally ignoring him. Rayudu, who recently retired from all forms of cricket after Chennai Super Kings’ fifth IPL triumph, gave an exclusive interview where he shared details of his strained relationship with MSK Prasad, who served as the chief selector during the 2019 World Cup, suggesting that this was the reason for his omission.

In response to Rayudu’s claims, MSK Prasad has retaliated, stating that there were four other selectors and captain Virat Kohli who held significant decision-making power. Additionally, Rayudu mentioned that during his time playing for Andhra in 2005, he had differences with the then-captain, MSK Prasad.

MSK Prasad said “Everyone is aware that the selection committee has five selectors, and then there is the captain sitting in the selection committee room. How can a single person’s decision be taken? “It is a collective decision. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have five people sitting on the committee.”

Talking with differences with Rayudu he said “In a team, differences do occur in a long season. There can be a difference of opinion between brothers, but one cannot carry such differences for a long period.”
