(Watch) Angelo Mathews does ‘clock’ celebration infront of Shakib Al Hasan after taking revenge of Timed Out.
Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan received a ‘Clock’ sending-off celebration after being dismissed against Sri Lanka on Monday. Shakib displayed excellent batting skills, scoring 82 off 65 balls before falling to Angelo Mathews in the 32nd over. His dismissal occurred when he attempted to play on the leg side, resulting in a leading edge easily caught by Charith Asalanka.
Notably, Angelo Mathews pointed to his hand in a time-related gesture as Shakib walked back to the pavilion. This celebration followed a previous one where Angelo Mathews was Timed Out by Bangladesh. He had come to the crease with a faulty helmet, and when he called for a substitute to change it, Bangladeshi players appealed to the umpire.

Despite Mathews’ attempts to explain the situation to Shakib, the appeal was not withdrawn. This incident has garnered criticism for Shakib Al Hasan within the cricketing community, and Mathews’ gesture is seen as a response to Shakib’s previous actions.
