(Watch) Ben Stokes gets up Rohit Sharma returning to bowling after 8 months on Day 2 of IND vs ENG 5th Test.

England skipper Ben Stokes delivered the crucial breakthrough for his team on Day 2 of the fifth Test against India at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. Stokes, operating as a medium-pacer, dismissed Indian captain Rohit Sharma, ending his impressive 171-run partnership with Shubman Gill for the second wicket

Rohit was dismissed for a well-compiled 103 runs off 162 deliveries, including three sixes and 13 boundaries. The breakthrough occurred during the 62nd over of India’s innings, just after the lunch break. Stokes bowled a well-directed delivery that angled in and seamed away off the pitch, beating Rohit’s bat to clip the top of the off-stump

Notably, this was Stokes’ first delivery in international cricket since recovering from a knee injury sustained during the Ashes series. His last bowling spell was in the second Ashes Test against Australia at Lordโ€™s in June-July last year.
