(Watch) Jasprit Bumrah stunnes Ben Stokes with a sensational delivery to reach 150 Test wickets during Day 2 of IND vs ENG 2nd Test.
Jasprit Bumrah achieved a significant milestone by becoming the fastest Indian pacer to reach 150 Test wickets. This feat was accomplished during the ongoing Test match in Visakhapatnam when he dismissed England skipper Ben Stokes with a sensational delivery during the final session of play on Day 2.
With England already struggling having lost seven wickets, Stokes was aiming to accelerate the scoring rate. Recognizing the need for a breakthrough, captain Rohit Sharma brought Bumrah back into the attack, and the speedster did not disappoint.
Bumrah’s delivery swung into the left-hander from around the wicket, catching Stokes off guard. The ball kept lower than expected, taking the under edge of Stokes’ bat and crashing into the stumps. Stokes’ reaction, dropping his bat in disbelief and expressing frustration, highlighted the quality of Bumrah’s delivery.

In achieving this milestone in just 34 Tests, Bumrah also became the second-fastest pacer from Asia to reach 150 Test wickets, following in the footsteps of Pakistan legend Waqar Younis, who achieved the feat in 27 Tests.
