(Watch) Pat Cummins dismisses Babar Azam with mind blowing inswinging delivery.

Pakistan’s batsman, Babar Azam, continued his struggle on the ongoing tour of Australia with another disappointing performance in the third and final Test in Sydney. Facing Pat Cummins in the first session, Babar managed only 26 runs off 40 deliveries, falling victim to Cummins for the third time in the series. The right-handed batter came to the crease in a challenging situation, with Pakistan at 4-2 in the second over of the match.

Although he initially displayed promising form with trademark cover drives, Babar succumbed to a rare inswinger from Cummins, being late to bring down his bat. The fullish delivery struck him on the pads, initially prompting the on-field umpire, Michael Gough, to stay unmoved.

However, Australia opted for a review, revealing through ball-tracking that the ball would have hit the leg stump, resulting in the on-field decision being overturned. Babar’s recent form has raised concerns for Pakistan, given his subpar performance in the latter half of 2023 and a disappointing start to 2024
