Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson achieved his maiden international century during the third ODI against South Africa at Paarlโs Boland Park. Stepping in early after debutant Rajat Patidarโs departure at 22, Samson anchored one end on a challenging pitch.
Despite a slow beginning, he accelerated, reaching his half-century in 66 balls. Partnering with Tilak Varma, Samson gained confidence, contributing to a 116-run partnership for the Rajasthan Royals, consistently finding boundaries.
Following Varmaโs dismissal, Samson intensified his scoring, completing his century in the 44th over, marking the milestone with a bicep flex.
