Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar recently expressed his thoughts on India’s cricket team after they were defeated by Bangladesh by a narrow margin of six runs during a Super Fours encounter in Colombo on Friday, September 15.

Despite the match being considered a virtual dead rubber, where India had rotated their squad, it was Bangladesh that emerged victorious. Shoaib Akhtar, known for his candid commentary, couldn’t resist making a playful remark about this turn of events. In a video shared on his platform, he commented on how Pakistan would likely be pleased to witness India’s rare defeat.

Akhtar said “(Kuch thoda bahot sukoon aya hoga Pakistan ko) Finally, some relief for the Pakistan fans, including me, that India have lost the game. Wake-up call for India. You can’t take teams lightly after winning a few games.”

“India have lost the game. Embarrassing loss. We can’t criticise too much. Bangladesh are here to play. People were criticising Pakistan, saying that they got beaten up. Sri Lanka are a good team, not an average team. The same is the case with Bangladesh. They are all playing international cricket.”
