Team India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, recently participated in a photoshoot for his IPL franchise, Mumbai Indians (MI), ahead of the forthcoming season. This marked his first public appearance for the team subsequent to relinquishing the captaincy.
In a surprising development, MI management opted to replace Rohit with Hardik Pandya as captain in December of last year. Pandya rejoined the side a month prior through a significant monetary transaction with Gujarat Titans (GT). MI unveiled a video on Wednesday, March 13, showcasing some of their star players donning the new jerseys ahead of IPL 2024. Notably, the video featured Rohit alongside Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, and others.
